Commisioned by the Wolf Trap Opera Company in 2004, Volpone the elements of the 2007 revival consisted of two walls of recessed panels set on a raked deck, a hung curtain and track, and a large box unit with drawers, sliding stairs, and a hidden tub. The walls also concealed hidden windows and doors.
The live recording produced by Wolf Trap Recordings has now been nominated for a Grammy for Best Opera Recording 2010
